Black Bean Burgers with Cheddar and Jalapeno



There's a tasty and spicy twist on regular burgers in these Black Bean Burgers with Cheddar and Jalapeno. They have a lot of flavor and are a good vegetarian option for your next dinner or barbecue.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeno peppers
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and condiments for serving

Instructions:

Black beans, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, red onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper should all be put in a food processor

Pulse until nothing is left out

Take the mixture and shape it into 4 burger patties

Set a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and add a little oil to it

The black bean burgers should be cooked on the grill for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are hot all the way through and have grill marks

For a minute or two, toast the burger buns on the grill until they get a little brown

In order to make the burgers, put lettuce and tomato on the bottom bun, then add the black bean patty and your favorite toppings
